Meet Our Team
Jon Forbes

Starting with Shred Alaska in 2009, Jon Forbes has brought a background of military and education to the operations of Shred Alaska. Jon has held many hats at Shred Alaska after purchasing Shred Alaska with his son Robyn Forbes. Jon says working within a close knit family business has been a great experience. It allows him the opportunity to work hands on in every aspect of the copmany, from operations, to management and even hands on shredding services.

In 1986 Jon came to Alaska by way of the AirForce and served our great country honorably before retiring after 20 years of service. He then went on to pursue his career in elementary education. Jon worked his way through the ranks to obtain his elementary principleship, and worked for ASD for 14 years.

Customer Service and Attention to Detail are the two cornerstones of what Shred Alaska has built their business upon. Jon has worked to create an environment within the office of not only support to the drivers, but also the creation of our extended Shred Alaska family. They gather at the beginning of their day to plan for the day and again in the evening after their routes are completed. This allows for everyone to reconnect and to stay connected and Jon is the glue that holds that together.

Chris Howard
NAID Document Destruction Specialist / Route Driver
Chris Howard | Shred Alaska

Meet Our Team
Chris Howard

Chris has lived in Alaska for over 35 years and as many transplants to Alaska can confess, it’s very much home. Working as a NAID Certified Route Driver ( aka….”the shred guy”), Chris has spent the last 3.5 days enjoying the fun, challenge, and demanding position that Shred Alaska has provided. Being a route driver entails more than just jumping in a truck every morning, Chris has the opportunity to be the face of Shred Alaska to our clients.

A core value that resonates with Chris, is his commitment to customer service and working hard for the people that support his future, family and health. When not on route, Chris enjoys time dedicated to God, family, and church. As a father and husband, he finds the greatest peace knowing he is able to provide for his family with a company he is proud to work for.

Chris’s perfect day is a day away from the hustle and bustle…No phones, no noise, no crowds. Preferably in Hawaii with his beautiful wife and daughters.

Chris’s biggest inspirations are his parents. The foundation of his family, a 40+ year marriage, and the fortitude to leave Philadelphia behind in 1981 in order to give their family a better life, is where Chris learned the importance of commitment to family and hard work.

A great asset to the Shred family. Make sure to say hi if you see Chris out and about on route in Anchorage.

Joe Boltz | Shred Alaska

Meet Our Team
Joe Boltz

For over 10 years Joe has worked for Shred Alaska in multiple capacities. His ability to organize, route and re-route moving parts is why he excelled as our Anchorage Office Manager for 6.5 years, prior to taking on our entire Valley Shred Operations.

His family has grown right along with Joe, from finding out his first baby was born only 3 months after starting with Shred. Now Joe and his beautiful wife have 4 amazing kids. They have grown up with Shred Alaska as part of their family.

Working in the Valley allows Joe the luxury of enjoying more of the Alaskan scenery which he relishes. Being raised in Phoenix Arizona, he couldn’t have ever imagined that he’d consider Alaska home, but he most certainly does. He claims that one of the best things about working for Shred Alaska is the small family environment and knowing who is responsible for the company.

While you’re driving around from Pittman Road, to the Valley, out to Palmer look for our Shred 3 Truck and wave hi to Joe!

We’d love the chance to come out and meet with you. Watch our Meet Our Team Video Bio for Joe!
